KHANKALA. Oct 23 (Interfax-AVN) -- Officers of temporary police departments held 14 search and preventive operations in Chechnya on Monday, checking 21,333 people and 14,802 vehicles, a spokesman for the police department for Chechnya told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The police registered 450 administrative offences, including 25 violations of passport rules. They seized two assault rifles, a machine-gun, four grenade launchers, a small-calibre rifle, 11 hand grenades and grenade launcher rounds, two artillery and nine mortar shells, 4,598 small-arms cartridges and 1.8kg of explosives. Besides, six illegal oil refineries were destroyed.
