Terrorists have not tried to get inside Russian nuclear munitions depots - defense ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax-AVN) - There have been no attempts by terrorists to get inside nuclear munitions depots, the Russian Defense Ministry said Thursday.

"There have been no attempts to get inside our sites. Terrorists have only tried to reconnoiter them," head of the 12th main department of the Russian General Staff Colonel General Igor Volynkin has told the press.

"We have taken a number of measures to upgrade the technical security of the sites," Volynkin said. "The United States has helped us a lot by supplying advanced technical security means for our C sites [depots of nuclear munitions - Interfax]," Volynkin said.
