Russian military delegation leaving for Denmark

MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian military delegation is starting a working visit to Denmark on Monday, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The delegation is led by Colonel General Valentin Bogdanchikov, first deputy head of the ministry's main department on international military co-operation. Its main goal is to discuss the plan of bilateral co-operation in the Baltic Sea region, as well as the programme of further retraining for retiring Russian officers. The Danish Defence Ministry is involved in the programme that envisages teaching civil professions to the officers who are subject to the Armed Forces reduction.

Bogdanchikov will negotiate on the matters with Mette Wilsen, head of the Danish Defence Ministry's international military co-operation department. He plans meetings with other high-ranking Danish military.

The Russian delegation is expected to leave Denmark on Friday.
