Discussion of strategic stability accords premature - Ivanov

MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax-AVN) - The conclusion of a large-scale agreement on strategic stability is not on the table at the moment, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri on Friday.

"We are working actively on issues linked to offensive and defensive strategic weapons that we consider interrelated," Ivanov noted.

This work is being conducted in light of Putin's upcoming visit to the United States. "Many issues are yet to be resolved so it is premature to speak about agreements in this sphere," he added.
