KAZAN, Tatarstan. Nov 2 (Interfax-AVN) - The 9th session of the Russian-Turkish Business Council was held in Kazan, a spokesman for the city administration told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
The participants in the session discussed, among other issues, the employment of 19 Russian MI-17-1-V Hip helicopters by the Turkish Interior Ministry. 1998 saw the end of the service life of the helicopters that now need overhaul and upgrade.
The Turkish delegation included the head of the Russian-Turkish Business Council, co-chairman of the Russian-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Co-operation, Turkey's Trade Commissioner in Moscow, other officials and Turkish reporters.
