VLADIVOSTOK. Nov 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Servicemen of the Far Eastern regional border guard department detained over 70 violators of the state border and border regime in October, the department's chief Colonel General Alexander Golbakh told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.
The major part of those violations is related to illegal fishing in Russia's Amur and Ussuri Rivers by Chinese poachers. Border guards of the Bikin, Skovorodino and Birobidzhan detachments also prevented attempts of gathering Manchurian cannabis in their areas of responsibility. They confiscated from poachers 300 liters of ethyl alcohol and 120kg of caviar and launched three criminal cases.
