MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia completely fulfilled its commitments on withdrawing a military base from Abkhazia on November 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
The commitments have been honored "not only de jure but also de facto," which has completed the work launched by first Russian president Boris Yeltsin at the OSCE summit in Istanbul in 1999, Putin emphasized.
"Remaining in Abkhazia are Russian peacekeepers, who are performing duties assigned to them," he said.
