SEVEROMORSK, Murmansk Region. Nov 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Investigators of the Prosecutor General's Office and forensic experts have identified a 51st crewmember whose body has been found and retrieved from the nuclear submarine Kursk.
The man's name is Alexei Kolomiytsev, a sailor called up for military service from the Tyumen region, Vladimir Mulov, military prosecutor of the Northern Fleet, told Interfax on Tuesday.
"Measures are now being taken to determine the location of his relatives, after which the coffin containing his body will be sent to his family," the prosecutor said.
Earlier today the family confirmed the identity of another Kursk crewmember, Alexei Stankevich.
"The remains of both heroes will be sent to their families in the near future," the prosecutor said.
