Russian-Iranian projects have nothing to do with nuclear weapons - Putin

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has described assertions that Iran is capable of creating nuclear weapons with Russia's assistance as a "legend" that has nothing to do with reality.

"We have nuclear-energy projects with Iran. The U.S. has similar projects, with North Korea, for instance," Putin said in an interview with the American TV company ABC, according to the presidential press service.

But Russian-Iranian projects have nothing to do with the creation of nuclear weapons, Putin said. "We are catagorically against supplying Iran with any know-how that would enbale it to create nuclear weapons," the Russian president said.
