MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The Federal Security Service has confirmed the death of field commander Shamil Iriskhanov, an associate of Shamil Basayev, in a federal operation in Chechnya.
Three rebels, who were accompanying Iriskhanov, were also killed, the public relations center of the Federal Security Service told Interfax on Thursday.
Iriskhanov took part in Basayev's attack on Budennovsk and for his services was given the Ichkeria Order.
