Houses built in Chechnya to accommodate refugees

GROZNY. Nov 14 (Interfax-AVN) -A special commission of the Chechen government assessed the preparedness of temporal refugee accommodation facilities in the localities of Asinovskaya and Sernovodsk, Achkhoy-Martan district, as well as in Znamenskoye, Nadterechny district, and in Argun, a spokesman for the Chechen Refugee Affairs Center told Interfax-Military News Agency on Wednesday.

The commission found that the refugees accommodated in the town of Sernovodsk were living in unsatisfactory conditions, with 284 people making up approximately 400 families accommodated in 47 railway cars. The number of the refugees includes 951 children. The commission reported that no repair had been conducted since the foundation of the camp. The cars are not heated and there is no glass in the windows.

The government of the republic has taken a decision to provide the refugees with more comfortable facilities now being built in Sernovodsk and other neighboring localities.
