Two rebels detained in Grozny

KHANKALA. Nov 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Eight people were detained in Grozny on Tuesday, and two of the detainees turned to be involved in illegal armed formations.

Law-enforcers of the Chechen capital are identifying the other detainees, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told Interfax-Military News Agency.

Rebels continue setting up arms and ammo caches in Grozny to carry out sabotage and terrorist acts in the future, the spokesman went on. Federals seized 1.5kg of TNT, 1,200 pieces of small-arms ammo, 10 rockets for the rocket launcher and 15 grenades from such caches on Tuesday. Besides, they destroyed two illegal oil refineries.

Also that day, servicemen detained a tank truck carrying 2,100kg of fuel and lubricants. The driver, who had no documents authorizing fuel transportation, is being identified.
