ROSTOV-ON-DON. Nov 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The North Caucasus military district will hold a training session of its engineering and technical personnel from Thursday to Friday, Lieutenant General Vladimir Nedorezov, the district's armament chief and deputy commander in charge of armament, said on Wednesday.
The training session to be supervised by Nedorezov will involve 79 people including generals and officers of the district's armament department, officers of arms distribution services, deputy commanders on armament and chiefs of services in the 19th, 20th and 42nd motorized rifle divisions, 131st, 136th and 205th separate motorized rifle brigades, commanders of technical support units and departments of the 58th general army and the district.
Participants in the session will be shown organization of interior service in the park and the order of maintaining arms and military equipment. They will consider practical issues related to supplies of armament, missiles, other types of ammo and military-technical materiel to the troops, establishment of a training and material base for technical training of personnel.
The 1542nd repair and restoration base located in the town of Prokhladny in the Kabarbino-Balkarian autonomous republic, as well as in the 429th motorized rifle regiment of 19th motorized rifle division of the 58th army stationed in Mozdok, the main federal base in the North Caucasus, will host a demonstration of medium and current repairs of arms and military equipment by an army-level repair and restoration base and repair battalions of a military unit.
In general the session will be devoted to main ways of modernizing the system of technical support of the district's troops and tasks of the engineering and technical personnel in the sphere of maintaining arms and military equipment in combat readiness, as well as to increasing the level of the personnel's technical qualification in 2002.
