ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 21 (Interfax-AVN) - A Norwegian military delegation led by Lieutenant General Thorstein Skiaker will visit the Leningrad military district from November 26 to 30, a spokesman for the district headquarters said on Wednesday.
The delegation comprising eight officers will start its trip with a visit to district commander Colonel General Valentin Bobryshev, the spokesman told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The Norwegian military will then visit the district training center to study everyday life of the personnel and organization of the training process in a military unit. In particular, Russian servicemen will demonstrate range practice, a tactical lesson on a training ground and operations on combat vehicles. A garrison of the Leningrad region will host a demonstrative peacekeeping training.
After that the Norwegians will travel to a separate motorized rifle brigade stationed in the polar village of Pechenga, not far from the Norwegian border, where they will have a no less eventful time, the spokesman said.
