ITUM-KALE, Chechnya. Nov 23 (Interfax-AVN) - A composite detachment of the Krasnoyarsk territory police department completed its mission in Chechnya on Friday.
The detachment suffered no losses during its three-month service in the temporary police department of the republic's Itum-Kale district, a temporary department spokesman told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The Krasnoyarsk police carried out about 110 search operations and raids, seizing 850 grenades and 82mm mortar shells, 212kg of TNT and over 10kg of drugs. Besides, they defused 12 landmines. The department's patrol and combat groups destroyed several winter camps in the areas bordering on Georgia. One murder was detected hot on the trail.
The Krasnoyarsk policemen were replaced in Chechnya by their fellow policemen from the town of Norilsk in northern Siberia.
