MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax-AVN) - A relief base of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will be made operational in Kabul next week, First Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Yuri Vorobyov told journalists on Friday.
"Representatives of the Emergency Situations Ministry and the Health Care Ministry will fly to Afghanistan in the next few days," Vorobyov noted. Around 90 representatives of the ministries including several doctors will work in the Kabul-based center, he said.
A transportable hospital with a 30-bed capacity will be set up in Kabul, he said. The Emergency Situations Ministry's representatives will oversee shipment of humanitarian assistance to Kabul by air and land. Afghanistan's lawful authorities will distribute the aid, he said.
