Guerillas beat up advisor of Chechen administration head

GROZNY. Nov 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Advisor to the head of the Chechen civil administration Sayed-Akhmad Khaladov was brutally beaten up in his own house in Belorechye, the Gudermes district, in the small hours of Monday.

Khaladov himself told journalists that about 50 people wearing camouflage uniforms broke into his home and beat him up with rifle butts in front of his family. They also threatened to execute Khaladov if he did not stop performing his duties and seized his service identity papers.

The same night, unidentified bandits entered the house of company commander of the Gudermes district police department Zivadi Israilov. Failing to find the owner of the house, they shot and killed his brother.
