Putin meets with Defense Minister Ivanov

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has received Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov at the Kremlin.

Putin and Ivanov discussed the implementation of Russia's army development plans, outcomes of work on arms purchases under the state order, and the situation in Chechnya, presidential press secretary Alexei Gromov has told Interfax.

In addition, the minister informed the president about military aspects of the situation in Afghanistan.
