KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Colonel General Petro Shulyak has been appointed chief of Ukraine's General Staff and first deputy defense minister, the Defense Ministry press service told Interfax.
Before this, Shulyak, who received his appointment from President Leonid Kuchma, commanded the Land Forces.
