ISTANBUL/TASHKENT. Nov 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces on Thursday arrived in an area of Uzbekistan bordering Afghanistan, military-diplomatic sources told Interfax on Friday.
They said the Turkish military will check the areas of the future deployment of a Turkish contingent that will take part in the anti-terrorist operation in Afghanistan.
They declined to answer a question about the number of Turkish servicemen to be stationed in Uzbekistan in the framework of the operation.
