15 FSB officers killed, 68 wounded in Chechnya this year

MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has lost 15 officers killed and 68 wounded in Chechnya this year.

The FSB public relations center told Interfax on Tuesday that three Russian counterintelligence agents were awarded the title of Hero of Russia in 2001. For heroism and courage, 229 servicemen have been awarded orders, and 1,017 have received medals. Two FSB men have been confirmed for the title of Hero of Russia posthumously.
