KHABAROVSK, Far East. Dec 19 (Interfax- AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Konstantin Pulikovsky is to meet heads of the regional law-enforcement agencies on Thursday, a spokesman for the envoy's office told Interfax-Military News Agency.
As many as 23 law-enforcers will take part in the meeting. Among the participants are Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Chaika, Commander of the Far Eastern Military District Colonel General Yury Yakubov, Commander of the Pacific Fleet Vice-Admiral Viktor Fedorov, Commander of the Far Eastern District of the Interior Ministry troops Lieutenant General Vladimir Yefimov, head of the Far Eastern border guard department Colonel General Alexander Golbakh, representatives of the Federal Tax Police Service and State Customs Committee in the Far East.
The spokesman stressed the ultimate purpose of the meeting was to identify approaches to increasing the combat capability of the troops stationed in the Far Eastern region.
