MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian delegation led by Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu will visit Kabul from Saturday to Sunday, Shoigu's deputy Valery Vostrotin told Interfax- Military News Agency.
The delegation will attend a solemn ceremony of power succession from President Burhanudding Rabbani to head of the interim Afghan government Hamid Karzai scheduled for Saturday, Vostrotin said.
"The head of the Russian delegation will meet Hamid Karzai, Burhanuddin Rabbani and other Afghan leaders," the deputy minister stressed.
"However, first of all, Sergei Shoigu will visit the Russian humanitarian center in Kabul, thank our specialists for the work they have done and continue doing for peaceful Afghanistanis," he said.
