MOSCOW. Dec 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's MIG Corporation plans to take part in a tender for maintenance of MIG-29 Fulcrum fighter jets of the Bulgarian Air Force. The tender was announced on Tuesday.
This will involve a wide range of work, including repairs, extension of the jets' service life, and supplies of spare parts, the MIG press service told Interfax on Thursday.
Applications will be accepted in mid-January 2002, and the tender results will be announced in late January or early February.
"As the designers and manufacturers of MIG planes, we hope to win the tender," the sources said.
Information sources indicate that the Bulgarian Air Force has 21 MIG-29 fighters.
