Kazkh President reshuffles National Security Committee

ALMATY. Dec 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has reshuffled the upper ranks of security and defense structures.

Vladimir Bozhko was appointed first deputy chairman of the National Security Committee.

Yerzhan Isakulov, 48, took the post of deputy chairman of the National Security Committee. From 1995-2001, Isakulov headed the Astana city and Akmola regional department of the National Security Committee.

Kopen Akhmadiyev, 46, was appointed chief of staff of the Anti-Aircraft Force. Previously Akhmadiyev served as deputy chief of staff of the Anti-Aircraft Force.

Bulat Shaimanov, 47, stepped down from the post of deputy chairman of the National Security Committee. Shaimanov had worked in the post since May 2000.
