ROSTOV-ON-DON. Jan 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The river Kuban has risen sharply near the town of Temryuk in the Krasnodar territory, threatening to flood some of the town's districts.
A squad from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, three platoons of the 7th Airborne Division, and a helicopter regiment of the North Caucasus Military District will shell and bomb the river's ice cover if the water continues to rise, the Emergency Situations Ministry's Southern Regional Center told Interfax on Wednesday.
