MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The bidding commission of the National Security competition held in the framework of the Interpolitex international forum met on Wednesday to choose winners of the Best State Security Asset award, deputy chairman of the commission Oleg Verner told Interfax-Military News Agency.
Thirty-one companies will get the award, Verner said. Among them are the Sukhoi design bureau, developer of the SU-80 multifunctional plane of a new generation that is distinguished for a high degree of flight safety, the Izhmash plant located in the city of Izhevsk, capital of the Udmurtian autonomous republic, designer of the Bizon-2-01 strike submachine-gun, and the Kamov company, creator of the KA-32A-2 special purpose helicopter intended for accomplishment of a broad range of missions, including anti-terrorist tasks. Also on the list of award winners is the Beriyev aircraft research and technical association, developer of the BE-200 amphibian.
Each laureate will get a diploma and the Quality and Security gold metal, Verner said. The awards will be distributed in Moscow's Rostest-Moskva testing and certification center on January 15.
