Radio-technical unit commanders to discuss troops development plans for next eight years

VLADIMIR, Central European Russia. Jan 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Radio-technical unit commanders of the Russian Air Force gathered for a training and methodical session here on Monday, a spokesman for the radio-technical troops headquarters told Interfax- Military News Agency.

The session is hosted by the central officer courses of the troops. It is to last until Friday.

Participants in the session are expected to sum up accomplishment of missions assigned to the radio-technical troops in 2001 and discuss the work plan for 2002. They will consider the role and place of the troops in the Air Force, their state and development prospects for the period up to 2010.

The unit commanders will attend practical training in combat harmonization and organization of troops service. The session involves officials of industrial enterprises that will demonstrate samples of new equipment that the troops are expected to commission this year.
