RYAZAN, Central European Russia. Feb 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Lieutenant General Nikolai Staskov, chief-of-staff and first deputy commander of the Airborne Troops, and a group of officers arrived here on Monday to supervise a command post training in mobilization readiness at the Ryazan Airborne Institute led by Colonel Vladimir Krymsky, a spokesman for the institute said.
Participants in the four-day exercise will work on combat and mobilization readiness of the institute which is one of the leading educational establishments in the Airborne Ttroops. They will also practice the institute's interaction with the Airborne Staff and other law-enforcement agencies of the Ryazan region in an emergency period.
The Moscow commission is planning to pay special attention to the work of Krymsky, who is also chief of the Ryazan garrison, his deputies on reception and distribution of mobilized personnel and equipment in an emergency period.
Staskov will also supervise several training sessions. Their participants are to accomplish assigned missions at the barckground of a dynamic tactical situation.
The exercise will happen without recruitment of reservists assigned to the institute.
