GROZNY. Feb 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Nine officers of the Grozny rural district police department have been detained in the zone of a special operation in Starye Atagi, 20 kilometers south of Grozny, head of the district administration Shakhid Zhamaldayev told Interfax on Monday.
He said squad commander Musa Abdurzakov was "seriously injured in the head when he was hit with the butt of a sub- machine gun " during the detention.
Reasons for the detention of the Grozny rural district police department officers by federal servicemen are so far unclear.
