KHANKALA. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Eleven policemen and subordinates of the military commandant have been wounded in an act of terrorism in Grozny.
Two UAZ cross country vehicles were hit by a radio controlled land mine as they were returning from a mission, the headquarters of the federal force in the North Caucasus told Interfax on Monday.
All 11 received minor injuries.
One more UAZ patrol car hit a similar land mine patrolling oil wells in the village of Vinogradnoye, Grozny rural district. Two policemen were slightly wounded.
Two more servicemen were wounded by a radio controlled explosive device when they were looking for secret arms depots in a wooded area in the Shelkovskaya district.
One serviceman was wounded when a road block of Interior Ministry troops came under fire near the village of Serzhen-Yurt.
The positions of federal troops came under fire in four other places. In all cases reply fire was opened, and nobody was hurt on the federal side.
