GROZNY. Feb 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Four officers of the Kurchaloi police department received various injuries when their vehicle was blasted by a radio-controlled landmine, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry department for Chechnya told Interfax- Military News Agency on Tuesday.
The landmine was planted on the Kurchaloi-Belorechye motorway and rebels blasted it when a VAZ-21099 car with four policemen approached the site.
Another landmine was planted by rebels in a school in the district center Urus-Martan, a spokesman for the district military commandant's office told Interfax-AVN. The landmine with a clockwork was planted under a stairway to the school's second storey. Federal sappers found and defused the landmine when they were examining the building an hour before it was supposed to blast off.
