Georgian Interior Ministry favors voluntary return of refugees to Russia

TBILISI. Feb 13 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian interdepartmental delegation will come to Tbilisi on Thursday to study issues relating to the return of Chechen refugees to their homeland.

"Both the Georgian and the Russian sides have their proposals, and it is planned to compare these positions during the meetings in Tbilisi," Georgian Interior Minister Koba Narchemashvili told Interfax-Military News Agency.

"There is one thing on which we fully agree: the return of the Chechen refugees should be exclusively voluntary," Narchemashvili said.
