GROZNY. Feb 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Federal troops have averted a rebel attempt to get into the Chechen village of Staryye Atagi, where a special operation is being conducted.
The clash took place between the village and the road connecting Starye Atagi with the village of Chiri-Yurt.
Rebels suffered serious losses in the battle. At least ten rebels were killed and six rebels were detained, Federal Security Service spokesman on Chechnya Alexander Kolosov told Interfax- Military News Agency. Those rebels killed are being identified.
