MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Director of the Russian Federal Border Guard Service Konstantin Totsky is visiting Latvia to discuss prospects of Russian-Latvian border cooperation, the press center of the service said on Monday.
The parties will consider work results of the joint Russian- Latvian border group and exchange opinions on development prospects of the legal basis for bilateral cooperation, the press center told Interfax-Military News Agency. A protocol on the order of working meetings between the Federal Border Guard Service and Latvian State Border Guard is expected to be signed.
Totsky is planning to meet Latvian Interior Minister Mareks Seglins and head of the State Border Guard Gunars Dabolins. Besides, the Russian delegation will visit a Latvian-Estonian border section to study the work of the Valka-Valga checkpoint.
According to the press-center, Totsky will round up his Latvian trip on Tuesday.
