Investigators believe another 2 bodies from Kursk identified

MURMANSK. Feb 18 (Interfax-AVN) - Investigators from the Russian Prosecutor General's Office believe they have managed to identify the remains of another two crewmembers from the nuclear submarine Kursk.

Interfax has learned that these people are commander of the crew Gennady Lyachin and chief of staff of the 7th division of the Northern Fleet, the oldest crewmember aboard the Kursk on that mission, Colonel Vladimir Bagryantsev.

Thus, 92 out of the 94 bodies found on board the Kursk have been identified.

The submarine sank in the Barents Sea in August 2000. All 118 crewmembers aboard the Kursk were killed in that accident.
