Russian officials, Singaporean deputy DM meet at Asian Aerospace 2002

SINGAPORE. Feb 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Leaders of the Russian delegation to the Asian Aerospace 2002 show met with Singaporean Deputy Defense Minister in Charge of Arms Procurement Peter Ong on Thursday.

Vladimir Polishchuk, deputy chairman of the Russian committee on military-technical cooperation with foreign countries and head of the delegation, and Vladimir Artyakov, deputy director general of the Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader, met with Ong at the Russian section of the show that is underway in Singapore. They provided detailed information on combat and technical specifications of the SU-30MK Flanker plane and answered a few questions asked by the Singaporean party.

The SU-30MK multifunctional fighter has good chances to win the Singaporean contract for the supplies of 20 combat planes.
