PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. March 1 (Interfax-AVN) - The Defense Ministry will completed pay off its debt to the Kamchatskenergo JSO by the end of the first quarter of 2002, Viktor Nigmatulin, chief of the company's PR department, told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
An agreement on the matter was reached on Friday at a meeting of Colonel Grigory Lelenko, deputy commander of the Kamchatka troops group in charge of construction, engineering support and quartering, and Kamchatskenergo Director General Yuri Delnov.
On Thursday, the ministry transferred RUB122.6m (USD3.95m) to the company completely extinguishing its debt for 2001. Nevertheless, it still owes some RUB170m (USD5.48m) to Kamchatka energy makers.
