VILNIUS. March 7 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has said he hopes that "agreements on Russian-NATO cooperation in the "20" format will be achieved" by the Russian- NATO ministerial conference in Reykjavik in May.
The negotiations with NATO "are not easy," Ivanov admitted to the press in Vilnius on Thursday. "We do not have any recipes ready," he said.
"The agreements can be reached if Cold War stereotypes are abandoned and unusual approaches are found," Ivanov said.
"Russia is inclined to reach the agreements before the Reykjavik meeting. And we hope for a similar constructive attitude from NATO," the minister stressed.
