FSB agents eliminate three arms, ammo caches in Chechnya

KHANKALA. March 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Agents of the Federal Security Service (FSB) department for Chechnya have eliminated three rebel arms and ammo caches in the town of Argun, the city of Grozny and near the Khost village in the Naurskaya district of the republic, a spokesman for the department told Interfax- Military News Agency on Tuesday.

Special pin-point operations allowed the agents to detect well-hidden caches and defuse on time the explosive devices planted by rebels, the spokesman said.

The cache in Grozny contained two 152mm artillery shells, four 122mm artillery shells and six mortar shells, the one in Argu two PK machine-guns and 1,500 small-arms cartridges and the one near Khost two RPG-18 grenade launchers, six grenades and 2kg of TNT.
