Conventional Weapons Agency to cooperate with intellectual activity results protection body

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Conventional Weapons Agency (RAV) and the Federal Agency on Legal Protection of Results of Intellectual Activity of Military, Special and Dual Purpose (FAPRID) concluded a cooperation agreement on Friday.

The agreement was signed by RAV Director General Alexander Nozdrachev and FAPRID leader Gennady Zhuritsky.

Nozdrachev told Interfax-Military News Agency after the signing that "the agreement is of vital importance for us." "It aims to guarantee more efficient protection of the state's interests in use and transfer of intellectual property of enterprises forming part of the RAV system and will result in considerable economic and political profits," he said.

In particular, "the RAV and FAPRID will team up to elaborate measures on more efficient protection of national interests in the process of products turnover, on patent clearance of products, and on the regard of rights on result of intellectual activity on the domestic and foreign markets," Nozdrachev said.

In addition, "we will coordinate any activity in the sphere of firing claims for protection and restoration of Russia's violated rights in the process of military-technical cooperation with foreign nations," he noted.
