TBILISI. March 25 (Interfax-AVN) - American military specialists will be coming to Georgia stage-by-stage, Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili has told Interfax- Military News Agency.
He said a group of engineers is to arrive first. They will inspect and assess the state of all installations to be used in training of Georgian commandos by U.S. instructors. Among the installations are those of the Krtsani training ground and of the 11th brigade of the Georgian Defense Ministry stationed in the village of Vaziani.
Some 35-40 instructors who will conduct headquarters training with Georgian commando officers will arrive next. The bulk of American instructors will arrive only after them.
The parties have not yet fixed the date of the bulk of the instructors' arrival, Georgian Defense Minister David Tevzadze said earlier.
