270 policemen from Nizhny Novgorod to leave for Gudermes

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. March 26 (Interfax-AVN) - As many as 270 policemen from the city of Nizhny Novgorod are to leave for Gudermes on Tuesday, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry's main department for the Nizhny Novgorod region told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The policemen are to operate at the Gudermes temporary police department under the command of the regional police department's deputy chief Colonel Alexander Sheshin. The policemen are to leave Nizhny Novgorod for Gudermes at 4:00 p.m. Moscow time (1300 GMT).

Earlier it was reported that the first part of the composite detachment numbering 330 servicemen left for Chechnya on March 14. Chief of the Arzamas city police department Colonel Alexander Zavyalov has been appointed head of the Gudermes temporary department.
