MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Since August 8, 1999, a total of 2,449 servicemen from the Russian Defense Ministry have been killed in Dagestan and Chechnya, about 6,000 wounded, and about 30 are considered missing, the Russian Defense Ministry has told Interfax-Military News Agency.
According to the ministry's official data, 118 servicemen were killed in action in Dagestan and 2,331 have died in Chechnya since October 2, 1999.
