Russian Border Guard Service thinks crew of missing helicopter is held by rebels

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax-AVN) - Information that the crew of an MI-24 Hind helicopter that went missing in Chechnya on February 3 are being held by Chechen rebels might be true.

"This is not misinformation. Chechen rebels have communicated the crew members' names and the numbers of their IDs and badges through the Internet," Russian Federal Border Guard Service Director Konstantin Totsky told a news conference at the Izvestia media center on Tuesday.

The helicopter was carrying three crew members when it went missing.
