MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has said that international terrorist organizations are trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction.
"We have no doubt that terrorists show a lot of interest and not only theoretical, but practical, in acquiring weapons of mass destruction," he told the Moscow press on Friday.
Ivanov said Russia regards as very serious the problem of non-proliferation. "We look at it much broader than some countries that name only two or three states from which a threat comes and ignore dangers existing in others," he said.
"Non-proliferation should be strengthened at different levels, including the international, and common rules of the game observed," he said.
