KALININGRAD. April 12 (Interfax-AVN) - A riverine and sea- going tanker was set afloat by the local Yantar shipyard on Friday, Yantar Director General Nikolai Volov told Interfax- Military News Agency.
The vessel was produced at the order of the Dutch Shipbuilding Service company.
"The 100-meter long ship is intended for transportation of various liquid chemical cargo," Volov said. It is fitted with main engines, taxiing devices an auxiliary diesel generator, etc.
The vessel was handed over to the customer at an advanced degree of readiness, Volov said.
According to the director, the shipyard will hand two chemical vessels to the Dutch company this year. Assembly of a new 135-meter long tanker is in full swing.
