MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The cooperation between Russia and NATO is expected to become a key subject of the talks Czech Prime Minister Milos Zeman begins in Moscow on Monday, Czech ambassador to Russia Jaroslav Basta has told Interfax.
He reminded Interfax that in autumn Prague will host a NATO summit.
Asked whether the possibility of Russian participation in the summit will be discussed during Zeman's Moscow stay, Basta stressed that the Czech Republic is not authorized to make such invitations. "The invitation should come from NATO Secretary General George Robertson," he said.
At the same time he said that President Vladimir Putin has an invitation from the Czech side to make an official visit to Prague. In this connection he said the visit "could be linked in time" with the NATO summit.
