MOSCOW. April 23 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell held a telephone conversation on Monday night.
The Russian Foreign Ministry told Interfax in the early hours of Tuesday that they continued discussions of "questions related to preparations for the Russian-American summit at the end of May."
Ivanov and Powell reviewed the progress of work on documents drafted for the summit "in the context of the April 23-24 Moscow round of expert talks on START and ABM," primarily future agreements on the reduction of strategic offensive armaments.
