KHANKALA. April 23 (Interfax-AVN) - A composite unit of the 45th separate airborne reconnaissance regiment has left for Chechnya on a military aviation plane under the auspices of the rotation in the unified federal troops group in the breakaway region, a spokesman for the group headquarters told Interfax- Military News Agency on Tuesday.
The paratroopers will replace airborne units stationed near the Khatuni village in southern Chechnya. All servicemen underwent intensive firing practice, special and engineer training, they are fitted with modern night vision and communication means and well equipped.
The rotation is supposed to take two days.
Composite units of the 7th airborne division are to leave Chechnya for permanent stationing areas in Novorossiysk on Tuesday. Paratroopers have also replaced a regiment-size task force near the Novogroznensky village in the Gudermes district of Chechnya.
Most airborne regiment-size task forces in Chechnya are supposed to be replaced before Friday, the spokesman said.
